The Solar­na­tive AC Bat­tery sys­tem is a mod­u­lar sys­tem made of the AC Bat­tery ACB‑0.9 and/or ACB‑1.8 build­ing blocks. The sys­tem con­fig­u­ra­tion is com­plete­ly flex­i­ble with a stor­age capac­i­ty from 0.9 to 32.4 kWh.

The Solar­na­tive AC Bat­tery sys­tem is a mod­u­lar sys­tem made of the AC Bat­tery ACB‑0.9 and/or ACB‑1.8 build­ing blocks. The sys­tem con­fig­u­ra­tion is com­plete­ly flex­i­ble with a stor­age capac­i­ty from 0.9 to 32.4 kWh.

With the flex­i­ble con­fig­u­ra­tion and spa­tial arrange­ment, the sys­tem fits into every cor­ner and every niche.

Each ACB‑0.9 and ACB‑1.8 is equipped with its own bi-direc­tion­al invert­er. Based on Solarnative’s pro­pri­etary high-fre­quen­cy tech­nol­o­gy, The AC Bat­tery is using a unique sin­gle-cell tech­nol­o­gy, where each bat­tery cell is con­trolled indi­vid­u­al­ly by its own inverter.

With this approach, there is no dan­ger of cell mis­match­es and result­ing over­heat­ing. Each cell is always oper­at­ed in its opti­mum work­ing con­di­tion. This leads to unprece­dent­ed safe­ty and cycle life.

The ACB build­ing blocks can be com­bined in 1‑phase or 3‑phase sys­tems, which are con­trolled by a Bat­tery con­trol unit BCU.

Each BCU con­trols the ACBs via pow­er line com­mu­ni­ca­tion and com­mu­ni­cates with the oth­er devices in the Smart Ener­gy Home via LoRa.

The sys­tem is grid-form­ing and pro­vides true 3‑phase back-up func­tion­al­i­ty, so that the Smart Ener­gy Home can be oper­at­ed as an off-grid sys­tem as well.

With its mod­u­lar approach the AC bat­tery sys­tems fea­tures a superb charg­ing / dis­charg­ing effi­cien­cy over a wide pow­er range. Even low base con­sump­tion of 100 W dur­ing the night is pro­vid­ed at max­i­mum dis­charg­ing efficiency.
