Reduced component failures

Our invert­ers are built for unprece­dent­ed reli­a­bil­i­ty. Fail­ures rates depend on the num­ber of com­po­nents in the prod­uct because each com­po­nent has a cer­tain prob­a­bil­i­ty of fail­ure. There­fore, we dras­ti­cal­ly reduce the com­po­nent count. Com­pared to com­peti­tors, we only use half the num­ber of com­po­nents. We are able to do so because of our high degree of chip inte­gra­tion (chips are more reli­able than dis­crete com­po­nents) in two pro­pri­etary ASIC chips. Also, we focus on the qual­i­ty of the com­po­nents. When­ev­er pos­si­ble, we use high­ly reli­able auto­mo­tive cer­ti­fied com­po­nents with par­tic­u­lar­ly high quality.

Unique thermal management

The fail­ure rates of most elec­tron­ic com­po­nents depends expo­nen­tial­ly on the tem­per­a­ture. When reduc­ing the tem­per­a­ture by 10 °C, this means a dou­bling of life­time. Know­ing this cor­re­la­tion, we pushed the ther­mal design of our invert­ers to the lim­its. Every lit­tle fea­ture is designed to reduce tem­per­a­ture inside the invert­er and to facil­i­tate the heat flow out of the device. With their char­ac­ter­is­tic lin­ear shape and Alu­minum hous­ing our invert­ers are designed for almost per­fect heat transport.

Biggest possible cooling fin

By means of our pro­pri­etary high-fre­quen­cy tech­nol­o­gy, we were able to minia­tur­ize our ivn­ert­ers in such a way that they fit nice­ly into the frame of the PV mod­ules or into the Alu­minum rails of the mount­ing struc­ture. We there­by take advan­tage of the biggest pos­si­ble cool­ing fans. In total, our device tem­per­a­ture is reduced by 20–30 °C, there­by increas­ing the life time of the prod­ucts by a fac­tor 4–8! As a result, our devices almost nev­er fail.

Relaxed remote access

While we are doing every­thing pos­si­ble to avoid prob­lems and fail­ures, we still want to make life easy for installers for the unlike­ly event that some­thing still goes wrong. There­fore, our sys­tems can com­plete­ly be mon­i­tored and main­tained from remote. All soft­ware set­tings can be con­fig­ured over-the-air.
